EMC Kitchen
How to choose from EMC Kitchen’s current vegetarian menu
· Updated · 3 min read
Short answer: Start with the format you want, then compare the current menu description. EMC Kitchen lists ramen, sushi, rice, noodles, dumplings and bao alongside drinks and desserts.
Choose the format
Korean Ramen is described with spicy noodles, vegetables, kimchi and cheese. Japanese Miso Ramen is described with miso-flavoured broth, paneer, vegetables and noodles.
Bibimbap or kimchi fried rice?
Korean Bibimbap is listed as a rice bowl topped with seasoned vegetables, kimchi and gochujang. Kimchi Fried Rice is listed as rice stir-fried with kimchi, seasonal vegetables and spices. That makes the practical menu distinction a topped rice bowl versus a fried-rice format. Ask about current ingredients and preparation before relying on that description for a dietary decision.
Gimbap or Japanese-style sushi?
Korean Gimbap Sushi is described with cream cheese, kimchi and seasonal sautéed vegetables. Other current sushi descriptions use different combinations: Avocado Sushi lists avocado, edamame and cream cheese, while Tempura Sushi lists tempura-fried asparagus, chilli oil and cream cheese. Compare the named filling and texture rather than assuming every roll is alike.
For a table
Compare dumplings, tteokbokki, bao, rice and noodles by the descriptions printed on the current menu. Names are a starting point, not a promise about current stock.
