Asian food explainer: August Dessert Coffee Pairings EMC Kitchen

The final August catch-up post moves away from noodles and looks at the end of the meal. EMC Kitchen lists two desserts and several coffee formats, which makes choosing easier once you separate hot, cold, milk-led and black coffee options.

The two dessert routes

Sizzling Brownie combines a hot brownie with ice cream, creating a hot-and-cold dessert. Baked Cheesecake is offered in Nutella, Biscoff, blueberry, strawberry and mango flavours. If a group is sharing, decide first whether you want the temperature contrast of the brownie or a cheesecake flavour.

Cold coffee choices

The menu lists Regular Cold Coffee, Creamy Biscoff, Chocolate Java Chip, Nutella Cold Coffee, Caramel Coconut Cold Coffee and Iced Vietnamese Coffee. These names give you a practical flavour direction before you order. The separate cold brew section includes Classic, Orange and Cranberry Cold Brew, plus Cold Brew Tonic variations and Espresso Tonic.

Hot coffee and other warm drinks

Hot beverage options include cappuccino, latte, macchiato, cortado, flat white, mocha, espresso, ristretto and Americano. Hot Chocolate and Drowned Affogato are also listed. If coffee is not the plan, regular chai, herbal tea and several EMC Special Chai flavours are available.
